Flower

Spring at Our New Old House!

It was a beautiful day today and I wasn’t the only one who noticed. I found this beautiful garter snake sunning himself in my stick pile.

The mock orange is in full bloom.

And this flower that looks like sedum (I’m not actually sure what it is, but it’s not sedum) is spreading nicely in my front flower bed.  EDIT: My friend Matt informs me this is spirea. He also says spirea sounds like a venereal disease. Either way, it’s a pretty plant.

Even this shiny little beetle was out enjoying the day.

Happy spring!
