Oh no, not another bathroom with carpet. I've got one of those here. It's upstairs which means I only see it about once a week, but I can't wait to tackle that project. Not only doe the bathroom in question have '70s plush pink carpet, but it has a whirlpool tub that is paneled along with the walls in really bad plastic "faux" stone.

My cat did the same thing and "went" over our basement tile floors and furniture. We tried washing it out, but the stench remained. Baking soda would definitely have helped. Would you put in carpet or tile for your floor?

I never understood why people put carpeting in the bathroom! The vanity portion of our master bath is connected to the bedroom w/o a door. The carpet from the bedroom extends to in front of the vanity. Its not as bad as straight carpet in the bathroom, but its close! Can't wait to see the end result.

I found nasty mold growing behind a cabinet in my bathroom. Didn't smell but quite disturbing.
