Our New Old House

1918 Bungalow

Organizing Photos

I have made new photo galleries, one for each room.  If you still want all the pictures on one page, then you can still click on “Photo Gallery: Before Purchase” and that’ll give you everything I have so far.  Additionally, there are a few shots on my Flickr account that I haven’t put here on the blog.  Mostly because they’re not very good.  But if you’re absolutely NUTS about my house, then feel free to check them out.

Happy Thursday!

Found some great befores and afters I think you’d enjoy. They come courtesy of Bungalow Insanity.

Take special note of the bathroom and the Living Room fireplace. Wow!

They say that in arts & crafts style houses you must learn to embrace “pools of light” rather than worrying about lighting the whole room at one level. The living room in that house really captures that concept perfectly!

I want to do the same thing they did with their window replacement. They’re a little more pricey but I’m willing to wait so I can afford to have wood facing the inside and metal/vinyl facing outside.

That bathroom is to die for! And I can’t even put into words how much I love the kitchen. Their choice of paint colors throughout the house is just perfect. Thanks for the inspiration!
