Our New Old House

1918 Bungalow

Ok, not ours yet

We’ve signed the purchase agreement, the mortgage is being processed, and here I sit, mere blocks away from the house that will be my own personal project for the next two years at the very least. My hands are itching to rip up the nasty dirty carpet. My forehead feels naked without a sweaty bandana. My hair feels disgustingly clean of cobwebs, paint shavings, and sawdust. But I have to wait. No touching till the paper’s signed. I feel like I’m waiting till my wedding night to lose my virginity.

Ok, maybe that’s a little overboard. But I’m EAGER to get started!

I know exactly how you feel. I’m way to excited for my own good. My offer was accepted weeks and weeks ago, but I had to wait for the tenants to find other apartments before I could move towards closing. (I’m making a duplex conversion back into a single family home) I was supposed to close on Monday, but my appraisal is taking FOREVER and now it looks like Wednesday. I just want it all to hurry up so I can rip out walls!!!
