I had been reading your blog for a bit before I realized that you were also a Des Moines resident. The house I’m researching is not the one I am currently living in, but rather the house I grew up in. So I’m at a bit of a disadvantage there. I have, perhaps due to a lack of judgement, just purchased a 1928 duplex conversion that I'll be restoring to a single family home. I'll be closing next week, so we'll most likely be starting our projects around the same time. I've left a couple comments already, but I'm looking forward to watching your progress and, hopefully, I'll be able to get a couple of good ideas along the way.
